Hello from Sunny Belize!

We are sending our first prayer letter from the field of Belize! We arrived in Belize on July seventh. Since that day we have found a house to rent, received our vehicle and container from the States, and have begun the process of getting unpacked and set up in our new home.

Thank you for praying for our traveling safety. Our container arrived from it's trek across the ocean in the middle of hurricane season with no threats of bad weather, whatsoever. We are thankful for the many ways that God has protected and provided for our family during these past four weeks!

We are slowly beginning to learn the Belizean culture, such as shopping at the Open Air Market and getting our daily provisions. We are thankful for our dear Belizean friends, Pastor Curt and Mrs. Jackie Bradley, who have been quite helpful in showing us the ways of the land. Amy, Abby and Micah are also learning to adjust to their new environment and making new friends in the process.

Praises:
  1. The safe arrival of our family and our belongings to our new home in Belize

  2. God's provision of our rental house

  3. Those whom we have already met that have been so helpful in showing us the ways of the people

  4. Stephen's experiences with L.I.F.T. this summer

Thank You for your prayers and support!

Stephen had the opportunity to travel with LIFT Student Ministries this summer. During the past eight weeks, LIFT Camps hosted 4000 high school students on 7 different college campuses across the U.S. Over 400 teenagers received Christ with many others surrendering to full-time Christian service. We are so thankful that Stephen was able to witness such an outpouring of God's Spirit and Power among teenagers. He will now head back to Kentucky next week getting ready to begin his first week of classes as a college freshman. Please pray for him as he will be adjusting to being at home in the States without his immediate family.

How You Can Pray for Us:

  1. Stephen's transition into college life

  2. That we become comfortable in our new culture and learn the ways of the Belizean people

  3. Wisdom, guidance, and safety for our family

Verse of the day:   Luke 4:8

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
